Knee Replacement

Knee Replacement surgery, also known as Arthroplasty, is a major surgery and is typically the definitive treatment option for moderate to severe arthritis of the knee that is causing substantial pain, restricted movement, and reduced function. Knee Replacement involves removing the damaged cartilage and bone and replacing them with highly durable artificial (metal and plastic) components.

Benefits of Surgery

Significant Pain Reduction

The primary purpose of Knee Replacement is to eliminate, or substantially reduce pain.

Improved Mobility

The smooth new artificial joint allows for greater range of motion, making it easier to walk, climb stairs, and perform daily activities with less stiffness and discomfort.

Enhanced Quality of Life

With less pain and improved function, patients often experience a significant increase in their ability to participate in activities they enjoy, leading to a much-improved overall quality of life.
