Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy and/or Subacromial Bursitis

Rotator cuff tendinopathy and subacromial bursitis occurs when the rotator cuff tendons and the bursa (a fluid-filled sac) in your shoulder get pinched between the top of your arm bone (humerus) and the acromion (part of your shoulder blade) during arm elevation. This can cause persistent pain, especially with overhead activities, weakness, and clicking in the shoulder.
